that it would buy seven resort hotels, with more than 3,000 rooms, in Arizona,
Bermuda, Mexico and Barbados. Canadian Pacific Hotels, a unit of Canadian
Pacific Ltd. of Montreal, will pay $469 million for the Princess Hotels, owned
by Lonrho P.L.C. of London.
The Canadian Pacific hotels are a series of hotels across Canada that was
originally built by the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR). Today operated under
the Fairmont name they remain some of Canada's most exclusive hotels.
